The Basil Sellers Art Prize encourages artists to take on the theme of sport in any artistic medium and supports artists whose work explores Australia’s obsession with sport.
The shortlisted artists for the fourth Basil Sellers Art Prize were: Tony Albert, Narelle Autio, Zoe Croggon, Gabrielle de Vietri, Ivan Durrant, Shaun Gladwell, Richard Lewer, William Mackinnon, Rob McHaffie, Noel McKenna, Rob McLeish, Fiona McMonagle, Raquel Ormella, Khaled Sabsabi, Jenny Watson, and Gerry Wedd.
The 2014 Basil Sellers Art Prize winning work was Tony Albert’s Once upon a time… 2013-14.
