Potter curator, Samantha Comte takes us through five works by Australian photographer Robert Ashton, taken from a larger series of 30+ works of his entitled ‘Fitzroy.’
During the 1970s, Ashton spent two years moving through the inner-city Melbourne suburb of Fitzroy, capturing aspects of the cultural and social shifts happening in the area at the time.
