Katherine Hattam talks to us about the inspiration for her work, Sometimes 2015, currently featured in our online exhibition Paying it Forward. She reveals the origin of the work’s title in a classic song by Leadbelly, and speaks about the push and pull in this painting – and in her own practice – between the interior, private world of the studio and the external, public realm of exhibitions and art galleries.
