Animate the Collection 2020 - Ian Potter Museum of Art

A Project by First Year Bachelor of Fine Arts Animation Students

In semester two 2020, first year Bachelor of Fine Arts Animation students in Animation Lab 1 took on an exciting project to Animate the Collection. They creatively responded to artworks from University of the Melbourne Art Collection, introduced to them by Potter Curator Samantha Comte and Academic Programs Curator Kyla McFarlane. Students thought about the role of animation in the museum, and produced new animated videos responding to their chosen work, or works. Below you can see the artworks and enjoy the diverse and creative student responses.
